The 10U and 13U teams play in the Monroe United Recreational Soccer League (MURSL). MURSL consists of recreational soccer teams from different towns in Monroe County. These teams play a 12-game season. Six games will be home games held at Buckland Park and the remaining six games will be away games held at the home team’s field.
The Boy’s teams will play games on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the Girl’s teams will play games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These games will be played at either 6pm or 7:15pm. For the first few weeks of the season, there will only be one game per week. The boy’s games will be on Wednesday and the Girl’s games will be on Thursday. Once the school year ends, the teams will begin to play two games a week on their respective days. The games will begin on Wednesday May 22 for the Boys and on Thursday May 23 for the girls.
All practices for the season will be scheduled by the coaches. Rosters have been distributed to coaches and they should be contacting their teams in the next couple of days. The Brighton Soccer League is a volunteer organization, and all coaches are volunteers as well. This year the number of volunteers for coaches was less than expected. As a result, many teams only have a single coach where two coaches are preferred in the event a coach cannot attend a game due to conflicts such as vacation or other matters. Therefore, your team’s coach will need some assistance with the team during the year. If you are able to assist, please let the coach know so the season can run as scheduled.
